Andy Haymaker

Andy Haymaker is a software engineer living in New England, USA with a couple of humans, four cats, and several disembodied AIs that flit from device to device. So far, the cats are in charge. Andy enjoys masochistic hobbies like writing novels and studying physics. His other interests include contemporary art, civilization design, and psychonautics.

As much as I would love to run a vibrant comments section on this blog, I simply don’t have time to do that. I have a full-time job and want to devote my personal time to researching and writing the next novel. If you feel an overwhelming urge to respond to something I’ve written, you’re welcome to email me at andyhaymakerauthor@gmail.com. I can’t guarantee I’ll respond to all emails, but I’ll do my best.

The image on this page is from an actual photograph of me on the daybed where I wrote Bitstreams of Hope. The photo was tweaked by AI to preserve my privacy, but it looks roughly like me in the place where I wrote the book. The AI took some liberties with the specifics of the objects surrounding me, like the art and the two stuffed bears who advised me, which were melded into one bear who looks a little unsure about you. I love thinking about this nearby alternate reality.
